Katarina Rejger and Eric van den Broek (the Netherlands) are indepedent film makers. They are the directors of “The making of the revolution”, an award winning documentary on the fall of the Milosevic regime. They are the filmers of the V*TV Series and the authors of the Videoletters project.

V*TV Series

20 episodes of 25 minutes
In each episode, former friends, colleagues or neighbours separated by the war in the Former Yugoslavia exchange videoletters. Step by step, they re establish what once was a close relationship. Some meet again for the first time since the war.

V*Broadcasts

From April 7th 2005 V*TV Series is simultaneously broadcasted by all public broadcasters in the countries of Former Yugoslavia. An unique event. For the first time since the war, millions of viewers of RT Slovenia, HRT Croatia, PBS Bosnia, RT Serbia, RT Kosovo, RT Montenegro, RT Macedonia as well as B92 in SCG were watching television together with ‘the former enemy’.

V*Ambassadors

Famous artists, sportsmen and musicians of all nationalities are promoting Videoletters on internet, radio and TV.

V*Gala Premiere

April 2 2005 in “Cafe Sur Dayton”, Bosnia and Herzegovina Videoletters were launched.

V*Caravan

Bus equipped with internet connections and webcams crisscrossed the countries of the Former Yugoslavia in order to allow people to record their own videoletter and post them on www.videoletters.net. In each city majors and children have recorded video letters inviting schools to join the 'dream flags' and 'the young journalists' project .

V*Counters

Permanent internet counters also equipped with webcams are installed throughout the countries involved in the project. They are free of charge and designed to help people record and post their videoletters or look for one of their lost friend on the website.

V*Helplines

Telephone helpline was accessible during broadcast also to people experiencing trauma or emotional problems after each broadcast.

From April 2, a special internet site is launched enabling people to post their own videoletters. A powerful search engine facilitates the quest for a lost friend. Build by Mediamatic. Powerd by xs4all.
