Irma & Đorđe
'Come back Johnny, we miss you so much', says Irma in the video letter to her former neighbor Đorđe.
Irma is Croatian and Đorđe is Serbian. Before the war they just thought of themselves as Yugoslavs. They both lived in Grbavica, a part of Sarajevo that became Serbian territory during the war. 'They held the city under fire from our building. The enemy was in our basement', says Irma. 'After the war, you left us. We still don't know why. Why did you leave, Johnny?' she asks.
Đorđe neglects to tell his new neighbors in Republika Srpska that he was once called Johnny; neither is he telling them why he doesn't dare go back to Grbavica. But he does tell Irma, in his video letter
